Nørrebro (Haraldsgadekvarteret) · Direct application
Kollegiegården is a modernist landmark in Nørrebro's Haraldsgadekvarter. Designed by architects Eva and Nils Koppel and completed in 1961, the eight-storey angular complex comprises two wings: a room wing on Tagensvej 52 with 169 single rooms and shared corridor kitchens, and an apartment wing on Fogedmarken 6–14 with 69 two-room flats. The Koppels were among the leading proponents of Danish postwar functionalism, and the building's crisp lines and rational organisation reflect their signature restraint. Residents in the room wing share kitchens and bathrooms with 13–14 corridor neighbours; after six months they can join the internal waiting list for an apartment in the Fogedmarken wing. Applications go through CIU on s.dk; the kollegium is a self-governing institution with FSB as administrator and a resident council that meets monthly. Subletting is allowed for up to two years total — an unusually long limit — subject to administrative approval and a 14-day advance deadline. Nørreport is 10–15 minutes by bike or bus 6A.
