Kvintus Kollegiet occupies a low-rise block of flats on Amager, three minutes' walk from Lergravsparken metro station. Built in 1969 and extended in 2007, its 117 apartments are accessed by outdoor galleried walkways (svalegange) — a design that gives the building an open, courtyard-village quality unusual among Copenhagen kollegier. Room sizes range from 33 to 53 square metres and include single-occupancy studios, larger singles, one-and-a-half-room flats, and two-person apartments. Each comes with its own kitchen and bathroom, plus a private cellar storage room.
Ten minutes to the north is Amager Strandpark's bathing beach; seven minutes by metro reaches Nørreport. Amagerbrogade's dense strip of shops and restaurants is close by, and four supermarkets sit within ten minutes' walk. The resident council of 14 (7 members, 7 alternates) runs the building democratically. KKIK administers all contracts; waiting list length is not published. Rules from the 2007 fourth-floor extension differ slightly: those units carry an indskud rather than a standard depositum.
South of the city center, home to Copenhagen University's main campus (KUA) and the IT University (ITU). Close to the metro, the beach at Amager Strandpark, and the airport.
