Frederiksberg (CBS Frederiksberg Campus) · Independent foundation
Porcelænshaven sits inside what was once Denmark's most celebrated ceramics factory. The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory operated on this Frederiksberg site for well over a century before production moved; when CBS transformed the complex into its main campus, the residential wing opened in 2006 as a home for the university's incoming exchange and international students. The 100 rooms — some with en-suite bathrooms, others sharing facilities with a single neighbour of the same gender — each come with a kitchenette, meaning residents need only cross the courtyard to reach the business school's lecture halls and library. Managed by Fonden CBS Academic Housing, the residence does not operate through the standard Danish housing waiting-list system; allocation goes through the CBS International Office and partner universities. The address itself, Porcelænshaven — Porcelain Garden — keeps the site's industrial heritage alive in everyday speech. For an exchange student arriving in Copenhagen for the first time, it remains a rare opportunity to live, study and socialise within a single walkable campus.
Apply via CBS International Office: housing.intoff@cbs.dk. Exchange students are coordinated through CBS partner universities. Not available through pks.dk or findbolig.nu.
Not applicable — contracts are fixed-term (semester length) issued to international/exchange students. Subletting is structurally not available.
