Rebæk Søpark Kollegiet sits in Hvidovre's lakeside greenery, directly beside Rebæk Lake where swans and ducks live year-round, with Brøndby Woods 500 metres to the west. The 361-room building was constructed in 1977 and transformed between 2012 and 2014: new energy-efficient windows, French balconies fitted to every room, a brick façade, solar panels and a rebuilt heating system reduced heat consumption by 45% and now supply 26% of the building's electricity from rooftop panels. Rødovre Station is 400 metres away and connects to central Copenhagen in 14 minutes.
Each room has a private bathroom and entrance hall; 21 shared kitchens span the building, plus two fitness rooms, a billiards/table tennis/darts hall, a bar and a party room. The kollegium is governed by a resident council and overseen by Hvidovre Municipality, with KKIK acting as business manager. For subletting, the standard FA09 rules apply via KKIK. Hvidovre Hospital's 24-hour emergency room is ten minutes away by bus.
