Amager Vest (Ørestad) · Kollegiernes Kontor i København (KKIK)
Robert Jacobsen Kollegiet opened in 2012 as one of the first purpose-built modern student residences in Ørestad — the grid-planned district that grew up around Copenhagen's southernmost metro line. Named after Danish sculptor Robert Jacobsen (1912–1992), the three-block complex offers 120 generously-sized one-bedroom flats across eight floors, each with a private bathroom and kitchen. Every floor has a large shared kitchen and common room designed to pull residents together.
What makes the location unusual is the combination of urban reach and immediate nature: Vestamager, the metro's southern terminus, is directly opposite the entrance, placing Nørreport just 14 minutes away, while the building faces 2,000 hectares of protected wetlands and bird reserve. Fields shopping centre is one metro stop north. The building is fully smoke-free, housing-benefit eligible, and administered through Gobolig under KKIK. For subletters, note that Gobolig — not FA09 — is the administrator, so fremleje rules should be confirmed directly with Gobolig.
South of the city center, home to Copenhagen University's main campus (KUA) and the IT University (ITU). Close to the metro, the beach at Amager Strandpark, and the airport.
